Our client has its global headquarters in Central London, a US office in New York and an Asia office in Singapore, serving the entire Asia-Pacific region. All offices deliver a full suite of pricing and market access consultancy services, including health economic services to an established client-base of top 20 global pharma and many others

Role Overview

As a senior member of the P&MA team, the post-holder will contribute significantly towards the market access consultancy’s continued success via the successful management and delivery of P&MA strategy projects as well as the development of profitable business with new and existing clients. In addition the post-holder will line manage and support the continuing development of analyst and/or senior analyst colleagues, and will contribute to the corporate development of the company 

Project Management

  • Apply own therapy area, market, project methodology and client management expertise and experience to the successful development of proposals, project plans and deliverables, securing the buy in of both internal and external clients
  • Act as the client’s primary operational contact in managing the delivery of P&MA projects as required to ensure each project is delivered to its objectives, timeline, budget and to client and project team colleagues’ satisfaction
  • If necessary, contribute relevant expertise to help the delivery of projects managed by other consultants, as agreed with line manager or other senior colleagues

Business Development

  • To deliver the agreed revenue contribution by:
  • Managing existing client relationships effectively, maximising all revenue opportunities to secure further project work
  • Developing new clients, working closely with senior and junior colleagues and within DHC’s key account management system
  • Managing the development of high quality proposals, including managing and reviewing contributions from junior colleagues and developing timelines, resource plans, and fees and expenses budgets for final review by a senior colleague

Employee Management

  • Effectively manage assigned analyst and/or senior analyst colleagues with a key focus on harmonising their performance and career development through coaching, training and other means

Practice Development

  • Work closely with line manager and other colleagues to contribute to continued development of the Market Access Consultancy practice, its systems and processes
  • The role will include regular national and international travel for project and business development meetings. Visits to Double Helix offices in the US and Singapore may also be required.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Four to seven years’ experience in market access, pricing and reimbursement or related life sciences consultancy across European and global markets, demonstrating progressively increasing responsibilities and achievement in both project management and business development
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the key European and Global healthcare systems and their pharmaceutical and life sciences markets
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills with demonstrable full project management lifecycle experience (from proposal to final delivery)
  • Proven experience in developing commercial relationships with clients
  • Effective in prioritisation; also able to manage self and others through occasionally high workloads and/or tight deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of major therapy areas
  • Demonstrable knowledge of P&MA strategy project methodology, tools and techniques (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Effective team worker and team manager
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentations
  • Highly developed skills of identifying core problem issues and creating effective and acceptable solutions
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel if necessary
  • Educated to a University degree level (2:1 or above), or equivalent, in a life sciences/economic/business discipline
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Desirable

  • In addition to the knowledge, skills and experiences above, the following attributes are desirable in candidates
  • Skilled (ideally fluent) in languages other than English
  • Postgraduate qualifications and experience in health, life sciences, economics or business management
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals and/or healthcare
