Our client is a strategic consultancy working in the global pharmaceutical sector.  They specialise in market research and analytics for the top 20 pharma and biopharma companies worldwide. 

We are looking for a new Director for the London team to help lead a strong team of researchers focusing on the global market.  You will be an experienced Director of Market Research or an Associate Director ready for the next step.  Primary market research experience in the pharmaceutical sector is vital and you will be an expert in either qualitative or quantitative but must be able to get involved in both.

Profile/skills required

  • Vast experience in ad hoc pharmaceutical market research
  • Solid research skills with experience of a range of methodologies
  • Experienced leader
  • Good guide and questionnaire design
  • In-depth interviewing and group moderation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good project and client management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A good team worker
  • Comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative research

The successful candidate will have

  • Director: 8 years+ experience of ad hoc pharmaceutical market research
  • At least 1 year experience at Director level
  • Proven leader
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with no supervision
  • Ability to manager and supervise a team of RE’s, SRE’s and RM’s
  • Strong detail-orientation
  • An ability to building positive relationships with internal and external clients - a strong team worker
  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to recognize a story within numbers or qualitative interviews/groups
  • Self starter prepared to take on responsibility for all aspects of project management
  • Willingness to expand repertoire of research skills and take responsibility for own training and personal development
  • Languages desirable but not essential
  • Passionate about the pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A relevant honours degree and ideally advanced degree
  • A proven ability to initiate and develop client relationships based on providing added-value research based insights
  • Track record of developing business opportunities
