Entrepreneurial and fresh would be words used to describe this healthcare market research company.  With two offices in the UK they are a leading boutique with a very creative and new approach to research.  They are expanding and looking for several new experienced market researchers to join an exciting team in London.

Research Managers are accountable for profitably developing business with potential and existing clients. They have key responsibility for handling client projects through all stages from initial briefing to report writing and/or debrief presentation, ensuring that the research design, analysis and interpretation of results fulfills clients’ needs.

 Responsibilities

  • Meet any agreed objectives on commissioned revenues.
  • Take research briefs from current and prospective clients, interpret the brief, and clarify their needs.
  • Define, in consultation with a project consultant if required, appropriate Research protocols which provide solutions to each client brief.
  • Write research proposals including costing as agreed with Senior Management and sell to the clients.
  • Manage project teams within the research team and successfully delegate responsibility on all related aspects of the project, to ensure precise, timely and cost effective execution of the research
  • Design the questionnaire/ delegate responsibility for designing the questionnaires and ensure that they are agreed by the client and internal departments.
  • Draw up schedules for all aspects of each project and ensure that they are issued and agreed by all relevant personnel, informing people instantly of any changes.
  • Ensure that clients obtain and understand their topline results whenever appropriate.
  • Analyze quantitative and diagnostic data providing reporting, interpretation and recommendations, in consultation with an Associate Director/ Director if necessary, prior to debrief.
  • Report/ debrief results to the client, together with a Project Consultant if required (depending on client expectations, etc.)
  • Develop additional or new business with potential and existing clients.
  • Oversee & take responsibility for the work of all members of the project team.
  • Manage Research Executives, taking responsibility for their development & performance within the business.
  • Monitor performance against budgeted costs in all projects, taking any necessary action.
  • Cost control- Ensure that clients are fully invoiced for all aspects of the research.
  • Follow the procedures as described in the manual and maintain a high quality of client service during every stage of the research process
  • Promote a pleasant working environment for all colleagues of the team

  • Handle several significant client situations at the same time, skillfully varying with priorities and resources to meet the client’s needs.
  • Ability to stimulate the interests of the audience through own style of communication, verbally and in writing via proposals, emails, debriefs etc.
  • Support and advise others in the research team aiding them to develop for career development.
  • Develop additional or new business through trust and respect with potential and existing clients.
  • Ability to find new and different ways of undertaking challenges that arise on projects within business/among team
  • Take a lead role in coaching juniors in team and monitoring their development.                       

Technical  

  • Define projects and write proposals with minimum input from senior management where precedents exist and identify appropriate techniques when conceptualizing projects.
  • Negotiate with the client to gain mutually agreeable solutions to project changes in terms cost and time implications and manages numerous projects at one time.
  • Develop additional or new business through developing trust and respect with potential and existing clients                                                                              
  • Ability to demonstrate insightful intelligence and interpretation recognized by clients as adding lasting value.
