Senior Research Executives are responsible for communicating with key clients to profitably develop the business. They have responsibility for the control of client projects through all stages from initial briefing to report writing and/or debrief presentation, ensuring that the research design and analysis and interpretation of results satisfies clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

  • Meet all agreed objectives on commissioned revenues.
  • Take, when requested, research briefs from current clients, interpret the brief and clarify their needs. 
  • Outline, in consultation with a Project Consultant, suitable research protocols which deliver solutions to each client brief. These will draw from the company’s repertoire of techniques and may combine both qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • Write research proposals when required, including costing as arranged with Senior Management, and sell them to clients.
  • Manage project teams within the research team and brief colleagues from other departments on all phases of projects, to ensure precise and timely execution of the research.
  • Design questionnaires, discussion guides and paperwork and to ensure they are accepted by the client, Field, Data Processing and Data Analysis.
  • Draw up schedules for all aspects of each project and ensure that they are delivered and approved by all relevant personnel, notifying people instantly of any changes.
  • Ensure that clients obtain and understand their topline results whenever appropriate.
  • Evaluate quantitative and diagnostic data providing considered reporting, interpretation and recommendations for discussion with a director prior to debrief.
  • Oversee the work of junior members of the Research Team (Research Assistants, Trainee Research Executives and Research Executives) as requested.
  • As the Company grows manage junior members of the Research Team, being accountable for their development within the business.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgeted costs on all projects, taking any essential remedial action as agreed with Senior Management.
  • Exercise cost controls to confirm that clients are fully invoiced for all aspects of the research.
  • Follow the procedures in the Manual, to retain a high quality of client service at every stage of the research process.
  • Support Senior Management with any other tasks as required.
  • At all times promote, a pleasant working environment for all staff.

  • Assist in scoping projects and writing proposals conceptualize the design of logistics and questionnaires for more complex studies.             
  • Ensure a project is managed successfully within budget and to arranged timescales.       
  • Focus on client needs, developing close, lasting relationships with customers and providing an excellent service.
  • Interpreting complex, conceptual data and creating commercially focused summaries to meet the needs of the client.
